Circular redevelopment Heuvelstraat Sivolde
The homes on the traditionally designed street in Silvolde are severely outdated and are making way for newly built homes. The redevelopment of the street will be done in a circular way as much as possible, different materials will be reused. For this it is important that materials are not damaged during the demolition work. The demolition of the homes is therefore done with extreme care and is a labor-intensive process.
For example, the roof tiles were all manually removed from the roofs and sorted. Over 6,000 roof tiles are part of the circular plan on the Heuvelstraat and are also part of the new roofing. Some of the bricks will also remain on the Heuvelstraat and will be repurposed as bricks after the artisanal chipping of cement residue. Gerrolt Ooijman, director-director of Wonion: "With the circular approach to the Heuvelstraat, together with the municipality of Oude IJsselstreek and other parties, we are taking an extra step when it comes to sustainability."
