Measurement of circularity
In order to make the degree of circularity of a material, product, construction or area transparent, a uniform, effective measurement method is indispensable. It must be prevented that different methods lead to different results, making comparison impossible and "cherry picking" (which method will I use to achieve the best result) will become possible. Because of the long lifespan of structures and the fragmented supply chain, many results will be needed to arrive at an assessment method that provides the most realistic approach possible. However, the most important thing is to identify which indicators are most relevant in order to provide insight into the relative performance of (for example) building A with building B.
